As “Maine’s Irish Theater Company,” AIRE presents classic and contemporary Irish and Irish American productions that share the power and beauty of Irish theater and increase understanding of Irish culture.

Almost all of our funds go directly to producing shows, which entails everything from paying for the performance space to building sets to creating costumes. But the cost of production is steadily rising, and our ticket sales can’t cover the increase. We’re determined to keep our prices low so more people can enjoy the unique theatrical experience we provide.

We need your help to continue to mount high-quality productions. We greatly appreciate tax-deductible contributions of any size.

Volunteer

Want to get involved with AIRE?  We’re always looking for a few good men and women to help out in volunteer positions.  We can’t pay, but we can offer you free tickets to shows and our sincere gratitude.

  • Available during showtimes?  Help in the box office, hand out programs, sell raffle tickets, etc.
  • Handy with a hammer and available during the day?  Help build sets.
  • Social media savvy?  Help us develop our Facebook page as an effective tool to spread the word about AIRE and our shows.
  • Experienced working on websites?  We need someone with artistic as well as technical talent to help us keep our website updated.
  • Have public relations or marketing experience?  Help us promote our shows and write an e-mail newsletter.
